I’m 28 years old and I got married to the love of my life. We jumped on a plane the next day and I competed at the 2014 CrossFit Games. Needless to say it was the fastest and most exciting week of my life.
I am born and raised in San Joaquin Valley, California with my sister Sarah. Raised in the country, I was taught the importance of hard work at an early age from my father and mother. It was there where I found my first love, Football. My family and I eventually moved to southern Missouri and also we were blessed with another sister, Emma Grace.
I played football in college at Central Methodist University, Missouri. It was during this time I found that I actually enjoyed the training more than the games. Conditioning tests presented by coaches were just tests to see how much I could surpass their expectations.
After graduation I started working for the US Army on Fort Leavenworth. I was invited to try this thing called “CrossFit” by a coworker. My first workout consisted of me being yelled at for not going fast enough on T2B and rowing—I had no idea what I had gotten myself into. I fell in love with it and never looked back.
